      • You are a contractor aged 23+ years of age.
      • You work on assignment through Hays.
      • You are employed and paid by Exceed.
      • Exceed’s weekly margin is just £14.50 per weekly timesheet.
      • An Assignment Rate is an uplifted hourly rate paid by Hays to Exceed. It is NOT your rate of pay.
      • Your Holiday Pay is advanced, not accrued.
      • You will automatically enrol into the Nest workplace pension after 12 weeks.
      • The tax code applied is 1257L.
      • Excluded from this calculation are: student loans, postgraduate loans, child maintenance deductions and expense claims.
      • This calculator is for payments to be made in the current tax year.

      Definitions

      Assignment Rate (per hour)
      An Assignment Rate is NOT your rate of pay.
      It’s an uplifted hourly rate paid by Hays to Exceed.
      It is not the rate that you the Contractor would receive, as Exceed will need to deduct the following to calculate your Gross Salary:

      1. Employment costs such as Employer’s NI and the Apprenticeship Levy.
      2. Exceed’s margin of £14.50 per weekly timesheet.
      3. Holiday pay and related employment costs, if holiday pay is accrued.
      No Pension Contributions

      Your take home pay for weeks 1 to 12 excludes any pension contributions. (This would also be your take home pay from week 13 onwards if you were to opt-out of contributions to a pension after your auto-enrolment.)

      Pension Auto-Enrolled

      Your take home pay for week 13 onwards will reduce as you will automatically be enrolled onto the Nest workplace pension scheme, as required by UK employment law.

      To qualify for the £14.50 weekly margin, temps who find work through Hays only must:

        1. Receive a personalised Pay Illustration
        2. Provide their UK Right to Work Documentation and sign an employment contract with Exceed.
        3. Get paid by Exceed.

      Exceed reserves the right to adjust our margin.
